    Print catalogs

I assume you are an offset printer? Web/offset? Tough biz these days. I ran way from the print business about 5 years ago. The problem with large production, like catalogs, is the competion from Asia. A few friends get books printed and it's cheaper for them to do it overseas. This, along...

    reg selection

In that price range, the Titan is a very reliable reg. Most shops use them for their rental gear. You can buy it, use it and be happy for the rest of your life. If you have the funds, you can try some other regs, usually in a higher price range, and the big difference will be the ability...

    long longhose question

I ditched, just because I hardly ever used it. It really never got in the way of my hose, but I guess it could. Most of my instructor buddies keep a pocket snorkle on them to meet the class standards. There are times when a snorkel can be nice so I keep one in the car: - long, shallow...

    Another BP/Wing

Good luck on your search for coolness :14: , I will say that I am very happy with my Oxycheq wings. I dive a 30# single and the standard 50# for my doubles. I am very cool, thanks to the 52 degree water, so I don't have to compensate with my gear. :D We sell a black AL backplate, which does...

    Tech Diving Limited Regulators

..by those that have never own them :D Crazy isn't it. Seriously though, I haven't seen much bashing in this area. DiveRite regs are the same style and there are lots of happy tech/cave divers using them.

    Anyone dive this set up?

Not having first hand experience with the Agir wing, we chose to carry Oxycheq. I'm sure the wing is fine, I just felt comfortable dealing with a product we know. Let us know what you think, if you pick one up.

    2nd stage for octo

When I started diving I used the common Aqualung inexpensive Octo. It worked fine, however After gaining more experience and getting the chance to use various regs, I realized that there was quite a difference in the way my octo breathed compaired to some of the other 2nd stages I used. I...

    Tech Diving Limited Regulators

We'll be putting Salvo service kits up soon, but considering very few people have had the regs a year yet, servicing isn't really an issue. SR2's are completely out of stock at our store as well as direct from Salvo. We are waiting for a delivery date. SR1's are in stock and they are great...

    Cave Diving Light

My money would go to either Salvo or Sartek. I use both. My Sartek 10w has been super reliable & trouble free, as are Salvo lights. If you can afford the extra cash, I would purchase something brighter than a 10w light, but you won't be disappointed if don't. If you can do the drive...

    long longhose question

You will have to dig around to find something other than 5' & 7'. Personal choice for me is 7', singles or doubles, bungeed backup reg on both rigs. If you are going to use the long hose, there is no reason not to bungee your backup in the standard fashion. If you have to deploy your primary...

    Deco Dilemma

What you describe is text book altitude sickness. 13,800 is more than enough altitude to bring it on, with or without prior diving.

    Wreck diving reel?

I don't mean this as a sale pitch, Salvo Primary Reels really are great. Ask anyone who owns one.

    Adding pockets to suit

I stripped the webbing off an old DiveRite thigh pocket that was designed to attach to your harness and then around your leg. It's been glued to my wetsuit for about 1/2yr without any issues. I only used a partial tube of Aquaseal to hold it on, but I would recommend 2-3 coats of glue. A...

Touch up paint for AL tanks

Better yet, get a jug of Jasco stripper and get rid of that pesty paint. Chicks dig bare AL.

    Canister Light

Hi Luci, The 18w 9A and the 21w 9A have been available for quite awhile. You might have missed it when you were first looking. As to the prices, this question gets asked almost every week at our store. The reason the prices are the same is due to the fact that the manufacturing and part...

    Tech Diving Limited Regulators

If you are looking for a small profile 1st, take a look at our SR1 regs, $150. Service kits will be $20.00. I like the SR2 for stage bottles, due to the HP port placement and the bend of the HP hose, but we are sold out. I don't have an expect delivery date on new SR2 inventory. PM me if...

    Please rate my gear Setup

Considering you already bought the gear, it's a bit late for that question.;) Just like DWT stated, if you like it, then it must be good. Seriously, if you dive enough you'll see a full spectrum of gear out there. Divers with sun faded 1970 & 80's BCDs, brown ones, yellow ones, green...

Calculating whether 30# lift is enough in a wing

FWIW, I weigh about 245lb, single AL80, dive wet 6mm, 10lbs lead, 6lb STA, 6LB BackPlate (22lbs total). I float great in my 30# single wing...even when I'm carrying a concrete block (don't ask). A 30# wing is great for most single tank divers. For doubles I use a 50# wing.
