"and 25feet of water is not life and death..."
I think it's a important that he FSU John realizes that 1 foot of water can be fatal.
Good luck bud!
I'm quite enjoying the 20% longer spiel. Here i was thinking that a freeflow (which is what this "regulator" is doing) was a bad thing? It turns out it adds time to your dive!! AMAZING i'm holding the purge button from now on!
oh god. has anyone looked at the shark deterrent product...
for everyone saying that they used to dive without octopusses(sp?) and they survived... well people used to take horse drawn carriages to travel the country. guess what technology has evolved and there is a better and safer way to do things. adapt or darwin will get you!
I don't think you'd be held liable from what I remember from my lifeguard training is if you're a trained professional you can be held liable if you make a huge mistake like doing compressions on the guys leg instead of chest. As just a normal citizen who knows CPR you cannot be punished by law...
I try to stay close enough to be able to touch to get his attention but sometimes i'm a bit further I either swim over or the old fist in the palm clapping trick
So he can dive locally.. Most of us don't just dive on vacation.. It's nice to be able to meet your buddy at the dive site with your tank already full and not pay for a charter..
Chris. we're pretty much in the same situation i just started diving about a year ago an adopted the BP/W system as well as the longhose.. what i can whole heartedly suggest is speak with Barry from Salvo.. He's been nothing but great in terms of service and the quality of products are on par...

Oh well... It turns out this order went out with a shorter webbing for whatever reason.. Barry shipped me a longer one today express.. Accidents happen and when a vendor can come back from it is when you know you're getting good service!! Thumbs up to Salvo and to Barry
i wasn't upset.. i was wondering if i was being my usual stupid self and couldn't figure it out.. in every post i mentioned how happy i was with this company and the the quality of their products are exceptional... now to save for a can light!
the crotch strap is about 2 and half feet and the webbing is about 7 feet... thats what i did. i wrote salvo an e-mail and based on the service i'm getting it'll be a simple as sending it back to them and getting a new one..
I would appreciate the help of anyone who has ordered their BP and webbing before... I ordered the Single Tank rig as a set including the webbing.. Well i received great service and quick answers to my questions. I received the products today and they look high quality except that the webbing is...
Just the extremely expensive consol computer (atmos AI) other than that pretty good.. i switched out my BCD in less than a year but i'm keeping my jacket for backup/travel so not that much regret
Single Tank adaptor... it's a piece of steel that holds a single tank to the BP/W system more securely... some people choose just to use the bands... i'm getting a new BP/W system in the mail tomorrow.. i ordered mine with an STA ... you should be able to get a better response from someone else ;)
