Hey Ggggggibson. It is known that the g1x is just a little bigger than 4/3, and smaller than canon aps. If you look at that diagram again, you will see that each little label, along the left edge, is the label for the line above it!

Canon has never made a contrast detect focus system that works even in the same league as panasonic, or sony, or now the last 2 generations of oly m43 cameras. The auto focus on the g1x is completely not competitive with what the best are doing, and I've always felt canon is afraid of losing...

you should be able to buy a 10 bar housing for that price. And a nauticam for not much more. Way too much to charge for a basic plastic housing.

I don't think there are any cost effective housings for the ep1 or ep2. The biggest issue with those cameras, for underwater, is the horribly slow Auto focus speed, compared to any panasonic or sony camera. But oly got it much better, in the 3rd generation - the epl3 and epm1 are much faster...

You need a strap wrench. Much cheaper than nauticam housing!!!

Yeah, everything about the 12-50 looks wonderful. But it is a power zoom!?! What a drag. Fine for video perhaps, but yech for still photos.

Yup, this is the first m43 to get my interest, as a land camera and underwater! Very exciting developments. Great EVF, good exposure controls. Updated, to the latest m43 sensor - same as the pany gx1.
