    Wreck Entry

If the hole is small, I'll go in feet first. If it's a big hole, I'll go in horizontal. If I can't fit throught the hole with all my gear on, I don't go in it. Mike

    gear configuration question

I've always used #24 cave line. The only zip ties that I use are for the mouth piece, inflator hose, and on some bungie loops. Mike

    GPS opinion

Garmin has treated me quite well. I've seen too many Magellens fail for my taste, though it could be just my luck ;). Mike

DS4 yoke fitting: CHROME vs DULL

I've put a shiney DIN connection in place of a dull yoke (TX100). They are all interchangable. No problem. Mike

That's another one that's kinda hard to get to. It's on my list, but who knows if the circumstances will be right for me to dive it. Maybe someday. Mike

    BP rigging question

I had the grommet/bolt strap from Halcyon for a few years, but went back to this method this year. http://www.cisatlantic.com/trimix/CS/cstech.htm Mike

    Deco software

Thanks. I'm still kickin'. I probably won't be posting nearly as much as I was due to summer's arrival (or so they say :cold: ). You only have to pay the $20 if you don't have a previous copy, I guess. I just downloaded the latest 2.0. Ross is doing a great job with that program. Mike

    Gunilda

Actually I don't have any good websites on it anymore. There used to be a couple, but I seem to have lost one and the other doesn't work anymore. I'll look around. Mike

To what pressure are you filling your PST 104s to?

I fill mine to 3300-3500psi routinely (both PST and Fabers). Mike

    Deco software

    I agree. I don't particularly like GAP either. I like V-Planner. Mike

    Web sites for BP/harness assembly

Yeah, those weight keepers keep everything kinda locked in place. Once you get the harness tweaked perfectly, you won't want it to move. Mike

    Web sites for BP/harness assembly

You can use these for reference along with the WKPP website: http://gue.com/equipment/backplate6.html http://www.gasdiving.co.uk/pages/misc/kit/harness_2.htm -- this one isn't quite right as it shows two D-rings on one of the shoulder straps. Mike

Blown Burst Disk right after thirds

I had a disk screw loosen up just prior to my last fill a few weeks ago. We noticed it as we were filling the tank. Of course, I hadn't touched the disk on that valve in two years or so. I discounted it as a fluke since I never had that happen before. It's funny how things like that happen...

    I am one confused individual

I've wore mine plate-to-skin a lot, and you don't even know it's there. The wing nutts don't touch you at all. Mike

    I am one confused individual

Of course, I agree with Roakey. The difference between a jacket and a harness/wing is like night and day. It doesn't matter if you're rec or tech, the benefits of simplicity, efficiency, and reliability remain the same. Quick tips: - Get a harness/BP/wing setup. I would recommend a...

Best hose routing on a Apeks DS4 single tank DIR long hose, bungeed backup setup..

I route mine like UP described. I would also recommend using the adjustable second for the primary. Here's a link that shows DS4's on a set of doubles: http://www.dis-uk.org/gallery.htm Mike

    Diver death in Arkansas

I agree with most everyone, especially Devilfish's last post about the system. It's obvious the instructor was at fault here, but at the same token, buddy diving isn't stressed enough right from the get go. We see this all the time, even with more experienced divers (at least I have). Up...

    I voted the ATX50, but it's on a DS4 first (TX40 backup). Mike

My gauge is if I can get in and out of the harness with my suit and underwear on. Mike
