very nice place. Quiet, clean. We've stayed there twice. Both times I found rates right around 100-110/night for either 1 or 2 br units. Right now the rates are high...180 or so... but drop in april. We were there in June and Oct. It is about a 15-20 minute ride south of Key Largo...

I don't know what the settings are on that camera. I'll clarify with shoot at the highest quality compressed setting. I don't think you gain a whole lot shooting raw, and some of the conversion programs are crappy. Shoot the best quality .jpg setting.

always shoot at the highest quality/largest size settings. It's best to use software (photoshop, etc.) for sharpening. Much more sophisticated than in-camera sharpening. Even though the images might look soft, you will actually be retaining more detail. I'd leave it at soft... normal at...

using a bigger tank to be able to stay as long as your buddy who is using a smaller tank can get you into trouble. If you are doing a shallow reef.... not as big a deal. On the other hand, if you are deeper, you could have a problem. You have a lp120. Your buddy has a lp85. If...

there are some decent condos. Ocean Pointe Suites can usually be had for 100-120/night most of the year (not this time of year), for 1 and 2br units. Moon bay is privately rented... I've seen 700-1100/week. I'll post a report on them in a few weeks.

the dst 1st has a 1/2" port also. The only ones that don't are the DS4 and US4 If you got your tx40 or tx50 with a turret 1st, it has a 1/2"port.

I don't agree with much you said... but the biggie is quoted above. You are going about this wrong. If you get a bigger tank to allow you and a 'better' breathing buddy to hit, say... 750psi at the same time, then you are not thinking through OOA scenarios. You should base your turn point...

the threading on the apeks second stage is standard. the 1/2 inch port on the first stage can be plugged (recommended) or there is an adapter (1/2 to 3/8). Once you plug it, you use one of the other three 3/8" ports with a 'standard' hose.
