Hi,
I'm considering buying a used drysuit as I cannot afford a new one. When I find one that I'm interested in, what should I check for?
Are there any 'red flags' that I should be aware of? (aside from holes in the fabric or cracked seals lol).
Any help is greatly appreciated!
I have the chance to pick up a barely used Aquion Pro Drysuit for a price that is hard to refuse. I am trying to find some info on these suits but am getting limited results. From what I see on their website these are only sold in Europe?? Aside from their very basic website, I was able to...
aquaoren,
I had heard about that incident but not in detail. Thanks for the link (a good website I didn't know about, thx).
You have obviously spent much more time at BBP than myself. I guess I have been fortunate to dive there without any boaters around.
I dove this again last Wed and the vis is improving. We had 15 - 20 feet at the time, and that was with the sun going down.
If you follow the main line out (it is just off the end of the pier) you'll see a line that runs off to the right (this leads to the older boat, maybe a 5 min swim)...
I'm not sure what the Canadian/Provincial laws specify for diver floats/flags. I have been taught to ALWAYS dive with a flag and my club's rules specify no more than 2 divers to a float/flag.
I have observed other groups around my area doing things differently, one float for a large...
With 11 dives logged I am just starting to realize how addicted I am. I feel your pain. Luckily I have some family members that dive too so I can usually muster up some dive conversations with them. Other than that I have to spend time on SB :), or online shopping for items to put on my wishlist.
Ditto.. I have done this wreck twice in as many weeks, vis is horrible right now, and even more so when there are divers in the area. Still a fun dive though :)
I saw these last week. It was my first time diving there though. I hear there is another boat further off the line too but haven't seen it yet.
The new wrecks are around 25-30 feet each. Get down and see them before the Zebra Mussels cover them up!
