I was in Cabo San Lucas in November of 2012. Did some diving with Manta Dive shop there. One of the options they offerred was a day trip to La Paz to 1) snorkel with whale sharks and 2) scuba dive with sea lions. It was great ! Being in the water with a whale shark was a cool experience...

For those that won't click through on DandyDon's link: Per the moderator, the death was caused by a heart attack during a hard swim against current. It is not fair to link that to Cantamar on this thread.

Ditto. Also looking for information. Thinking about taking a dive trip to LaPaz in Fall of 2013. Most of the reviews of Club Cantamar are dated (2008 and earlier.) Except for this one, which is a little scary. Club Cantamar Warning (Nov 1, 2011)...

I am aware it is an old post. However, it still pops up if you are doing Google searches on diving Belize. In fact, I came across it when planning my dive trip last year :) So my info wasn't for the original poster but anyone else coming along afterwards.
