Water Temps in Coz. This Weekend 4/9/20

3 days ago, surface temp was 25C, Air Temp was 28 and I dove a 3/2 full suit and was perfectly comfortable and in fact a bit too warm above 5m. Caution though. I'm from Canada, and last time I was there, I dove in a bathing suit and the DM's and tourists thought I was insane.

The Sandbar Grand Cayman is a Fraud/Scam

If the Cayman angle is a scam, its not unreasonable that they lifted names and images from a legitimate website to add authenticity.

    April in Cozumel

would you mind sharing how your stay at OGC was? I just got back (first time at that resort) and I was overall not as impressed as I thought I would be. Location A+, but service was very sketchy.

    Buying Gear in Cozumel?

I'm looking for some new warm-water gear. I live in a cold-water environment, so none of the cool stuff is available up here. I don't have time to mail-order online before I leave, so I'm looking for reputable LDS info for Cozumel. I think I want a Henderson H2 and a Zeagle Stilleto LTD...

    Cozumel vs. Cabo San Lucas?

I'm looking for a cool, fun destination in Mexico that is affordable, quality all-inclusive resort and has great diving. I have been to: Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and Acapulco. So I know what to expect in those places. Right now, my top choices are Cozumel or...

Best "All Inclusive" Resort and options for diving in Coz

March/April time frame. I have been to Cozumel before, but I'm looking for a great all-inclusive resort for me and my girlfriend. She does not dive, but wants to try an "intro" class. Most likely that I would want to do some boat dives, and have her tag along for the ride. Suggestions?

Croatia in September... Tips and advise?

Whatever you do, post results here. I was looking to going to Dubrovnik last year and wanted to dive the dalmation coast. Trip didn't happen due to other reasons, but its still in my top 5 places to check out in the future.

    Boat Diving in Whytecliff

I don't understand why you would be complacent to violation of a federal statute by not reporting the name of a registered vessel to the coast guard. By not reporting this, you are potentially placing other divers at risk of getting hit with a prop in the future, the next time the skipper of...

Diver Killed by Humboldt Squid off Nanaimo??

As the title says. Does anyone know of such a thing? As reported in the January/February issue of "Canada's Outdoor Sportsman", the article entitled "Attack of the Giant Squid!" on page 10. The author cites a "recent attack where a scuba diver off the coast of Nanaimo was attacked by...

    Kelvin Grove - @$$hole Diver

Well, it is a trailer-park, after all, so it would make sense that my home is on wheels and my car is on blocks. And yes, I do use a line for my unmentionables. That way I hang them on a rainy day, and they are washed and dried by the next time its sunny. Considering that your location is...

    Kelvin Grove - @$$hole Diver

JFS, At your house do you piss in the hallway beside your bathroom, or do you actually walk the 5 steps into the can? There are public washrooms that are provided ad K-G. I could understand your point if there were no facilities or they were locked or broken, or whatever. But there is a...

    SubX gear - buckle-scuffing

Thanks for the reply Jim. I will send pictures to the email address you provided tommorrow, as I'll take pictures tonite. I'll adjust the tension a bit more. I had the straps loose enough that the jacket could ride-up about 40mm, which was enough to comfortably move, bend, twist, etc.
