Hi from Vancouver, BC, Canada !!

Freeman, the Moby's Armour shell was about$1400US at the LDS. The only thing I didn't like about it was the boots. The point where the boot was attached to the suit gave rubbed that back of my ankle and gave me a blister. Other than that, sel-donning, comfy and great exhaust. There's more...

Hi Dave and Carol, My wife and I got certified three weeks ago. Vis on day one was around 2-3 tops. Second day improved to around 6ft. Temp was around 45F but we did out Drysuit specialty as well and it was a good thing we did. Welcome to the boards and happy diving

Hi from Vancouver, BC, Canada !!

SeaQuest Surelock vs Scubapro Weight Integrated

It's a matter of opinion which are better. My wife has the SureLock on the Diva LX and it works great. There is a distinct, audible click to indicate the weights are secure and a firm tug will release the wieght. She has had no accidental release problems. I wish my SeaQuest Pro Unlimited...

    Advice

I'm looking for a drysuit. So far I have tried the Moby's Armorshell and like the self-donning, frontzip and Omni-touch exhaust valve. I'm not too impressed with the boots since I got a blister just below my ankle. I'll be trying the DUI trilam (can't remember the name) this weekend. I...

Quick Disconnect - Good or bad?

I have the Oceanic Pro Plus 2 w/ QD. I like the convenience of not having to drag the whole first stage to the computer. As for the theft issues, I just make sure there are no opportunities for it to get stolen. Having QD also keeps it from getting bumped or damaged during transport (at least...

Hi from Vancouver, BC, Canada !!

My wife and I just got certified last weekend. We are looking forward to lots of diving around the lower mainland. We moved from Vancouver two years ago to CA, but there's no place like home. I kinda regret not joining the Scuba club at UBC when we were there but better late than never i...

    Certified!

My wife and I did our OW dives this weekend in Monterey. Visibility was very poor on day one, but by Sunday, vis was 10-15ft. For everyone that gave us encouragement and told us to relax, thanks. It was amazing and not as nerveracking as I would have thought. I guess the training and...

    Almost certified!

Hey fellow divers. Over the past couple of weeks, i've been able to get a lot of information about equipment on the forums. My wife and I have just completed all the pool sessions and classes. Our Ocean dives are this weekend in Monterey. I'm a little nervous, but really excited. Any final...

    Reg Advice

I have heard good things about the Scuba Pro MK25/S600, the same for the Aqua Lung Legend LX. On another thread there was a brief discussion about the differences and merits between piston and diaphram regs, so i guess it just comes down to personal preference. Can anyone give me any feedback...

    Reg Advice

I'm a new diver looking at several regs. Ones that I've been considering are: 1) Scuba Pro: MK25 S600 2) Aqua Lung Legend LX Legend LX 3) Oceanic Zeta/CDX5 What are the advantages between Piston or diaphram regulator? I will be doing mostly cold water diving so freezing may be a...
