    Sherwood Wisdom O-ring?

I need to replace a battery in a Sherwood Wisdom console and the LDS is being a d@#k. Does anyone know if this is a custom 0-ring and if not, what the o-ring size is for the battery compartment? Thanks

    Suunto mystery

Have you tried transporting the computer in a small Pelican case? That's how I carry mine (Suunto and Uwatec) an I haven't had a problem, but I have not exposed the case to conditions as extreme as what you describe.

    Tank inspection tool

Then again, for $18 you could get one of these: https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?product=1311 and have enough left over to buy a tank...

    Which 3 lenses for a D200?

If you were setting up for U/W photography with a D200 and could pick 3 lenses, what would you pick, and why. Asking irrespective of housing, assume you could house and port the lenses you wanted.

    Contacts/Diving

I do it all the time. The only dives where I switch to a prescription mask are cave dives. I wear soft lenses, both extended wear and daily wear. You should let your buddy know, just in case somehow both get swept out, so they can help you make a safe ascent if need be.

Can't get the wing I want now. Should I get a different rig or a jacket BCD for now?

Why not call Patrick at Oxycheq and see if he'll give you a loaner plate, to be returned when you get your new plate? I don't know but I'll bet they would do that.

How would I go about diving with great whites?

I'd recommend getting hold of the Book "The Devil's Teeth," and then booking with one of the operators (there may be only one) that go to the Farallons off of the Golden Gate. I would love to get out there, it sounds like one of the "truly wild" places.

    How does oxygen treat DCS/AGE?

More specifically, the AGE is a bubble in the arterial side of your circulatory system. As it travels toward the capillaries, it eventually comes to a point where it (the bubble) is too big to pass further, and thus cuts off blood flow from that point on, just like a clot. If, as will often...

    How does oxygen treat DCS/AGE?

There are ways to get an AGE other than a lung over-expansion injury, which is probably why the OP made the comment that he did about identifying the source and potentially diving again.

    Reg mouthpiece causing pain...

I guess preference is what makes the word go around and a mouthpiece's comfort is certainly a subjective preference - to each his own. However, the point about depth doesn't make sense to me. I don't know your history or experience level so I ask this in sincerity - are you sure you weren't...

    Reg mouthpiece causing pain...

I agree with this, it's exactly what I did with all my Scubapro regs (10 of them.) I thought the Scubapro standard mouthpieces were cheap. Even better, Phil at Divesports.com sells a mouthpiece that as far as I can tell is an exact copy of the Atomic model (if not the same thing period,) for...

    Discolored mask :(

As I understand it, storing a clear silicone mask (or any other clear silicone item) with neoprene items will result in yellowing of the silicone. Store the mask in a mask box or in a separate bag/unit from wetsuits and other neoprene items.

    Two questions on Ni'ihau

Right, definitely a summer venture if done at all. Are you talking about a multi-day trip? I'd like to hear more about that, as cool as the diving is supposed to be, I'll bet it would be doable to get enough divers together to fill a boat.

    Two questions on Ni'ihau

I am really wanting to go dive Ni'ihau. Can you folks in the know let me know if: - There is any tech-oriented operation going over there or willing to go there (doubles, mixed gas, deco?) - Are there liveaboards that go there (recreational or technical?) Thanks

    Class in buoyancy control?

There's more to it than just buoyancy, but I would add GUE's Fundamentals of DIR Diving to the above list.

    forum skin change

I agree. I liked the old look and usability. I find that I use Scubaboard alot less frequently now because I don't like using the forum view. My use is probably down at least 75%.

    pain in tooth...?

I once had a sinus issue on ascent that really felt like a tooth problem. Mine was also in the upper left molar area. I was sure it was a tooth, but I have no dental work in that area. I do occasionally have a sinus issue. I wonder if there is a sinus cavity that lays right over the upper...
