To make this easier, here's a picture of a BC from the Scubaboard Gallery. The black thing on the end of the corrugated hose below left of the center of the photo is the power inflator, and that is a standard piece of a BC (comes attached/with it.)

Fair enough, and to each his own. After letting them know in advance that we will be doing this, I always make it a point to do a simulated OOA ascent and safety stop with Air-2 or analogous integrated 2nd-wearing students or other dive buddies I end up with to show them what an abomination...

This is the big issue, is it not? Eddy current testing shouldn't be done on these tanks, false positives are too common and there is no indication the problem the technique is designed to detect even exists for this alloy. It will inevitably lead to condemnation of tanks that have no flaw...

I bought some used shot-blast finish AL 80s recently. They have some markings on them that I would like to remove. Based on the way they look, I am assuming they are "permanent" marker. Does anyone have a successful approach for removing this sort of mark? Thanks
