This recently went up on the corner of Av 11 and the Malecon (by Margaritaville). In the past it was legal to continue going south at the light with caution. Rules recently changed and its not allowed. So this is the sign they posted. Longest way I have ever seen to say traffic light or in...
I will believe it when I see it but they are claiming UBER will begin on Czm UberMoto llega a cozumel
Not cars but small "cars" similar to what Cooperative Transport Nohoch Be is trying to use.
Really doubt that you can do that now days. There are much more restrictions on diving or visiting for that matter Chinchorro. I think you can do day trips from Ixcalak to San Pedro but that was only a quick back and forth trip. Not sure what troubles you would have clearing immigration in...
Good news I hope. Noticias MVS
UNESCO has included Cozumel in their Biosphere Reserves which hopefully will put a damper on development in some areas of the island.
I just sent in my explorer wing. The attachment where the oral inflator hose connects to the bladder had broken. I honestly did not expect this to fall under warranty but it did. Many thanks to Halycon for taking care of their customers. It is just such a pleasure to work with a company like...
I have not read through all the previous replies. But I can answer as someone who has purchased a condo in Mexico and used it as rental property (sold now). If you are only going to use it as a home base for 3-4 weeks DO NOT BUY. Whatever sweet talk the seller is giving you about rental...
Just stumbled on this thread. Bikini was fantastic. Was there in 2001 and back again four years later. The sad thing as has been previously noted, the wrecks are starting to collapse. I hope the land based opens up again but Air Marshall was just too undependable for the operation to...
You should be able to do the drive from Cancun in 4-5 hours stopping for lunch and gas along the way. Roads are fine. After Tulum its a two lane but not much traffic. There is a gas station outside of Mahajual. In Ixcalak there now is an ice plant. Costa de Cocos is great. Try David's home...
Just a FYI. Did two dives on Cantarell today. Group of two rays on the first dive and three on the second. Not like years gone by. Very nasty currents blowing out.
Its been a while since i was at cocos but I have done quite a few trips on the Sea Hunter Boats. Currents can range from nothing (inside of Manulitos) to VERY STRONG where your mask can get pushed off your face if you are on the bottom holding on. As the previous poster says its advanced...
We are looking at Rangiroa as a location for our next trip. Any current info on liveaboards vs land based operations. The pelagic action looks very temping.
Thanks in advance.
Years ago yes you had to hike in from the main Highway and your gear rode the backs of mules. Today you can drive right up to the site. No worse a hike then many of the cenotes though bit of a climb down to the water. Amazing cave system. Swiss cheese at its best.
you might want to look at Steve Girards new book on the Cenotes. Suppose to come out in Oct. Cenotes of the Riviera Maya 2nd Edition
The first edition was published in 2000
