I'm using scubapro go sports for wetsuit. I overall like them however recently I got stuck in surface current and they sucked. My requirements. I primarily frog kick so must be good for frog. I also helicopter and back kick so good for that Not to heavy as these are wetsuit fins Good in...

Ever wonder why your carry on gets searched

I used to do a full contact combat group using ratan wood for the simulated weapons. One time coming on base my car got searched.... 7 people got called over each a higher rank before one gave me a big thumbs up.

    Penguins and bees

I've said before mother nature can be a real b_×#%. Sad news but it was natural and nothing we could have done to prevent it.

Ever wonder why your carry on gets searched

Yup and now I know it's the regs not the backplate. And knowing is half the battle

Ever wonder why your carry on gets searched

All essential dive gear goes in my carry on, BC, regs, primary mask etc. Usually I'm bringing a stainless bpw and I figured that's why it always gers searched. Today I'm bringing a regular back inflate and yup I got searched. Turns out it's the regs the I was told parts of them show up wonky...

    SDI Road to Rescue Diver

@SubNeo Don't focus on agency it doesn't matter till you go pro level. Instead ask around here and meet local divers ask them "who is the best instructor for this" a instructor who will take extra time and teach you more is the best way to go even if they are a little more expensive, have a...

Trilams dry quick, cordera slowly and neoprene takes forever. My drysuit is way before my hood I use drygloves so they dry quick as well.

I like trilam personally but it's personal preference. As a new diver be warned gear tends to breed once in a warm loving home.

    SDI Road to Rescue Diver

Try and see first drysuits are great and I love mine but it is another air bubble to manage and they are a little pricey. If you get cold in the winter in a 7mm then start eating Ramon noodles and save for the drysuit.

    SDI Road to Rescue Diver

Do bouyancy first you need the skills for deep. Some shops here won't let you take deep till you have a certain number of dives not sure about there. Your winter water is warmer than our summer water lol so you likely won't want drysuit. Night diving is awesome but again you need your...

Missing diver found safe, Neptune Memorial - Key Biscayne Florida

Always carry a smb when boat diving especially in black wetsuits

    SDI Road to Rescue Diver

Depends on the shop. Everything builds on bouyancy control start with that one. What are conditions like where you dive? Deep is good because as @Marie13 stated it gets you to max recreational depth. Take your time with thus and get experience and practice. How I would do it. 1. Take...

Advanced looks like what used to called master diver when I did it in 2010. I would skip adventure

    SDI Road to Rescue Diver

PADI advanced is just an intro to the five. I bundled mine with nitrox. In that case I would skip the adventure and do the 5 specialities unless you need it for a boat or trip. Bouyancy and nitrox followed by deep then pick two more will serve you better for becoming a better diver.

    SDI Road to Rescue Diver

I'm not sure of SDI if the advanced adventure is the full course then no if it's just a intro then yes. I did a bouyancy course that didn't count for anything with a GUE instructor. Best class I've ever taken.
