Got my Sudafed stolen. :( Help?

There are several Farmacias in Playa that should be able to help you get a decongestant that will work. While the government made PSE illegal (which may have led to dangerously more potent crystal meth) Mexican Farmacias have many drugs available OTC which require a prescription in US. As an earlier post mentioned you don't want to get a product often confusingly labeled as Sudafed, but containing phenylephrine (PE) which never worked for me.

Looks like you might be able to get Claritin-D (Clarityne-D) at the Mega, which is what I usually take:

Clarityne-D Tabletas Loratadina 5 mg 10 tabletas | Soriana

phenylephrine is a complete waste of time.

Thank you so much! Yeah, its ridiculous because every pharmacy offered me to buy Ritalin. I would just use this if I would not be scared that the behavior altering effects would not kill me while diving (like looking for an hour at a stone and running out of air)

Yes, and all kinds of other dangerous stuff like Xanax and very strong testosterones and anabolic steroids.

A reputable pharmacy will require a prescription. It’s a controlled substance even in Mexico. Might be easier to get a prescription for it here than in the U S. I've mostly moved away from Sudafed/Claritin (even the good stuff) to Flonase (Fluticasone) for my decongestant needs.

Prednisone is perfectly legal OTC in Mexico and might help with your ears. Of course, you might also grow hair all over your body and face...

Hello all!

Someone broke into my car yesterday and stole my Sudafed. I have a medical condition with my euchastian tubes and need it for diving.
I just found out I cannot buy it here. So I am really desperate because I have still 5 diving days to go.

If someone is in Playa del Carmen or Cozumel and could give me some (like 10 pills), I would be very graceful!

Try some Afrin nasal spray before your dives. That should have a similar effect!

I’ve never had anything work better at clearing my sinuses than Afrin. Works amazing with my sinuses.
