Exploration isn't always glorious, but instead is just a steady grind. Video from Saturday attests to this as we set off for an expected meet and greet at Twin Dees on an anticipated 14-hour exploration dive to probe a going lead at the far side of the Weeki Wachee Springs cave system. Instead we found the exploration team headed back much earlier than expected, and ended up doing gear swaps in tight confines of the cave. This video documents all the fun...so if you were ever interested in how dive operations are conducted, including use of the underwater cave habitats, taking off rebreathers underwater and parking them, gear exchanges, and ferrying gear to the surface, this provides all the insight into what it takes to support these dives. There is even a little habichat report of the aborted exploration dive, giving testimony that sometimes when things just aren't working in your favor you need to know when to call it quits. It's a long video, so if you don't have time to sit through the duration, you can navigate to the major events using the time code short-cuts in the video description. Enjoy!

Not gonna lie, the default image for the video had me wondering for a second why ya'll hired Kevin Spacey to play a cave diver...

Cool video though :)
