It’s reported that because the U.S. has moved from Very High to High Risk, the 5th day test requirement will disappear on 1 November. American tourists no longer have to do exit test on Bonaire - BES Reporter
Awesome if that happens - numbers in the US have been coming down slowly but steadily! We are going back to Bonaire for Thanksgiving and I can't wait. Not that it really changes anything for 1 week trips as the US is keeping the return test for the foreseeable future, but still good news for those staying longer.

...After the great advice from @turisops, we scheduled our exit Covid Ag test at Bon Bida for the day before we leave. Literally across the street, we will probably walk. Cost is $65 per person...
We had our US reentry Covid Ag test this morning at Bon Bida. We had the 1st appointments at 8:00. Very nice people, very well organized. We left with a hard copy of our negative results in about 15 min.

Now, one more day of diving, will probably end up with 45 dives and about 52 hours for the 13 days :)

I wish you all great trips to beautiful Bonaire. We will likely be joining you on the 2022 roll call.

Arriving with a group of 15 divers on April 6, 2022! Five are staying for 1 week and 10 decided to stay 10 days. About 50/50 for first-timers versus repeats. Staying at Buddy Dive.

Staying at Buddy's April 9-16... might be looking for an occasional dive buddy since the wife isn't too interested in doing many of the more interesting sites.

Wife and I are taking a belated honeymoon April 2 - 20. First time in Bonaire for more than a week and first time staying at Bamboo Bonaire. Last trip in 2019 I got sick on the plane ride there and couldn't dive. Hopefully can make up for lost time this trip.

Pulled the trigger on a March trip to Divi Flamingo on Bonaire. Anyone here have experience with them?

We stayed at Buddy Dive last year, but were told Divi is nicer. We plan primarily to cook our own meals (we didnt find a lot there that impressed us enough to pay for eating out the whole time), and we figured out on our first trip beer at the local grocery is not just less expensive, but the selection is far greater.

Also, anyone have experience with breweries or craft beer bars on Bonaire? We found House of Bonaire Blond, but it isnt exactly a local craft - they brew in the Netherlands and ship it in. Wondering about a true craft brew on the island.

The island population is about 21k......
