Aqualung(parent company) has HQ in Paris. Apeks is just its subsidiary in UK so distinct advantage for AL to ship Apeks within EU.
No difference from off-shore company registration or flying Panamanian flag for ship.
 
I looked at these when they were announced along with their new reels.

They're tech diving gear for those that don't tech dive.
 
Huh, I was wondering if anyone made small dive lights in Europe or America. Are their regs still manufactured domestically?
 
No idea, I'll leave that to the more Economically and politically astute.

Aqualung group ( Apeks, Omer, etc..) was sold years ago to Montagu private equity, office based in London.
Aqualung factory is still based in Carros, south of France

My question is do they dim as the battery drains. If not they are actually competitive with others I've seen in the same size category.

I've seen and held one. Very well made, worth the price,.... that's up to you.
