leisurely 45 min swim..

Swim out

When you get near, it gets more shallow like to 9 to 7 feet. Right after the drop off it is 17-20ft. Can't miss it if you go off by depth. After the drop off it gets deeper and deeper into the 30's, no need to freak out thinking you missed it if you watch the depth change.

If you decide to do most of the dive under, I recommend 2 tanks. Use one to and from, the other for the actual dive.

North of Commercial pier the drop off gets a bit boring as it gets less steep for some time.

Opinions?

Its a far swim right?
something like 300 yds?
Dangerous boat traffic?

lets hear what ya'll think

With the boat traffic in the area I wouldn't swim out to the buoys if you paid me.... Though I have tied up and dove the reef many times. It's very nicd

That boat traffic there.. adds an extra element to the adventure.. (not necessarily a good thing!)

Hibiscus and Datura are the two most common entry spots. Hook up with the GCS bunch and they'll take care of you.

Who or what is the GCS bunch?
