I tried with the BB Code Editor-->Rich Text with no help.

When you are in the BB code editor, down at the bottom of the window is a little blue link that says Use Rich Text Editor. When you click that it goes back to the Rich Text Format that we're used to seeing.
So in BB editor I saw the code for the pic, but when I left the BB editor, the picture was there.
