I still have a Scubapro G250.
I am thinking about buying a new Aqualung Core or Legend.
Are they any better than what I have?
Or should I just have mine serviced?

If you upgrade, send me your G250.

Just kidding, an upgraded G250 is considered by many to be one of the best second stages out there. Its worth checking if yours has the newer S-wing poppet. If you have any questions about them, @buddhasummer is the god (or at least minor deity) of G250s.

From about 1992. MK10 first stage. Have a vintage Dacor 760 first stage too.

MK10 + G250. You have the best ever built!
Just service them properly. Any change would mean going worst.
I would suggest that you pack your MK10 with silicon grease and install the rubber SPEC boot for avoiding loosing it around.
A properly serviced and silicon-packed first stage can be maintenance-free for 5 years!

Mk-10/G250:

A very good regulator to keep going.

I do have a somewhat different view on packing that ambient chamber.

I've seen too many cases of damage from incomplete packing jobs to think it is a good idea.

30 years of Great Lakes cold water diving, and that regulator works fine without packing...

YMMV
