A quick before and after.
Regs broke at 2.3, so some minor work there. MK25evo at 130 IP.

Came out nice and shiny.

Also have an old Mk5 (I think) to work on and pair with it.

Quick Update:

Rebuilt these two MK5s - the one with the pivoting turret had an IP of 130 straight off the bat (wow).
The solid reg had an IP of 150. I may be able to take the teflon washer out and reduce the IP a little, but not by much. I'm going to search around and see if I have another spring, but not likely. At least the IP is stable.
Will make nice pool regs!

Here are some pics - obviously the pivoting turret came out a bit nicer. I did use all the nicer parts from the two to make that one, but the parts for the solid 1st are not too bad.

Very nice.

FWIW a MK5 with no swivel turret is a MK8.
A MK10 with no swivel turret is a MK9.

Thread bomb warning: can I buy MK9's to cannibalize for parts like pistons to keep MK10's running?

You could but you might have better luck just buying another MK10, they are more common. There are also MK10 pistons around for sale, you might check with rsingler. I think I sold the ones I had except for a single spare that I need to keep.

You can also restore the piston edge; rsingler has an excellent tutorial about it. The only other parts I can think of that occasionally need replacing are the turret bolts, although most MK10s have steel (not brass) bolts and as such are very strong. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a brass MK10 turret bolt, but I think they did exist in some of the earliest MK10s.
