Cressi ARAs are light and in HB they can give you the power, but precision maneuvering with long blades can be difficult. And I hear they stopped making them.

If you made a "choped down" short version of those carbon fins I wonder if people would buy them as ultralight travel fins or for the coolness factor.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may have to look into that. If we ever offer a fin like that, it would be because it had significant benefits/perfomance advantages over typical fins. I do agree however, carbon is pretty cool.

My input, for tropical diving, would be the Deep6 Eddy Fin. Same performance as what you're accustomed to, but neutrality buoyant

I liked Mares X-Stream fins, both lightweight (1 pd 11 oz each while my Tusa splits are 2 pd 7 oz) and powerful. Unfortunately, for $180 they could last a bit longer. I threw mine away after 4 years, my wife finished hers in 5. She loved them so much she bought another pair. We'll see how long these last.
What went wrong with the X-stream after 4 years?

Broke in half in the point where they bend. My wife's broke in a different manner, the transparent plastic separated away from the colored edges.

Oh please! Let me be the beta tester!!! They would be awesome in a cave.

diverite fins, very powerful fins and light enough for travel but require much more muscle than biofin. I stopped using my biofin after bought apollo prestige (dive rite). Much more versatile
