Buying a second computer and using the Suunto Vyper as a backup

I used to use a Vyper to back up my Galileo Sol until the Vyper went into deco on a repetitive dive and when I exited, it locked out for 48 hours. It's not a good choice for a backup computer.

Correct.....it is a good choice for a primary computer with a less conservative one as a backup.
