You Colorado guys were lucky, lucky, lucky! Governor MLG just shut it down again today, saying 14 day quarantine, even with a negative test. All out of state visitors must quarantine and the exemption with a negative test is withdrawn.....

WERE lucky is very different from ARE lucky. We were supposed to leave again Thursday for 3 more days. I have a van filled with helium and oxygen supply bottles, lots of tanks, etc. I have a group of students who are furious about having their classes delayed once again. As for me personally, I just want to cry.

Oh God, I'm sorry, I can't believe she locked it down again! I feel for you guys. I just got back from spending the weekend in Eastern New Mexico with my folks and we were thinking she was going to go crazy with the latest "spike"....

The governor can ingest a satchel of Richards in my thinking.

Blue Hole is (generally) open for New Mexico dive shops, but not individuals or out of state shops. In other words, you can go, if you go with a shop. It's now open unless there's an outbreak (it happened there a couple weeks ago...).

I've heard that some shops are charging for the privilege, we are not. PM me if you need a shop to dive with and I'm happy to help out.

Quarantine restrictions for those of you not "from here" are still strongly advised, but not mandatory.

Guadalupe county is in the red, so be sure to bring a sangwich for lunch.

Are the rules still the same? We'd love to visit somewhere in May. We are from CO and not part of a dive club.

Also: Is it possible to rent tanks or do we have to bring our own?

If you read through this thread, you will see that groups regularly come from Colorado and go to Santa Rosa to dive. We are not a true dive club, but we do have a large email list which is used to arrange trips. We do dive the Blue Hole from time to time, but we mostly dive nearby Rock Lake. Rock Lake is on private property and is not subject to local government shutdowns.

When Stella is operating her fill station at the Blue Hole, you can rent tanks from her. If the Blue Hole is not open, she will do so when contacted privately.

Contact me privately if you want to be in on the mailing list.

Blue Hole rules remain the same. Guadalupe county is no longer in the red however, so indoor dining is possible.

Sounding better. I have a mountain of vacation time and am thinking of a 4th of July road trip for a week or two. By then things might be normal enough to stop by and try the hole.
