Hello guys
I just got me that Conshelf with DIN Adapter.
It's in good shape and the IP differs only 1psi between 3000psi and 500psi.
The orifice is fixed, 4 LP ports (one is the 1/2 port), 1 HP port.
It came for whatever reason with an Apeks Sentinel
I still just have problems to identify the different Conshelf models.
Can one of the Conshelf specialists help me or let me know where I can find information.
I think I have almost all schematics of the Conshelfs, but to me they look very similar.....
BTW, does someone here know how it came that APEKS and ZEAGLE sold both the Sentinel Octo with the same name?

The port configuration that you describe would make it a Conshelf SE2. That 1/2 in port makes it a pain to find a new hose for it now. You can find adapters to make it 3/8 in for a standard hose.

That's an unusual DIN fitting. Never saw one like it. Might not be a US Divers product?

Yes, me too, I guess it's a SE2.
To me the DIN adapter is pretty clear no US product, I thing it's here from Europe.
The 1/2 port would not be a problem, I have quite a lot of them, but also adapters.......
I just bought it for the Apeks Sentinel, had never one on my workbench.....

From a practical point of view, the model doesn't matter, they all use the same parts with the exception of the 1/2 ports on some and the HP orifice oring on others.
At one time Apeks made Zeagles regs including the Sentinel so it's not a surprise that both sold them.

Thanks Herman, never heard that Apeks produced Zeagle regs.......

I am going to guess that the DIN adapter might have been made by Spirotechnique. They were the parent company for US Divers. Spirotechnique and US Divers had their own separate designs, but occasionally they did share some designs.

The threads on the Conshelf are a very unique size. They originated from the old Mistral (single stage double hose) and they are measure in fractional inches, but they are in-between two standard Unified Coarse Threads. No one makes a tap or die for them. They have to be cut in a lathe.

I believe, that the size of the threads was kind of driven by trying to keep the yoke width as small as possible, but still complying with the interface drawing for the yoke (CGA 850). There might have been other reasons. But, the bottom line is that I am not aware of any other company that used the same threads.

Now-a-days, Mares and others use a standard Metric threads that are very close in diameter and accomplish the same from factor, but of course they are not compatible. The thread pitch is different.

Thanks Luis, very interesting.
I have been wondering why DIN Adapters for the Conshelfs are so difficult to find.
I thought that the reason was that they might hardly have been sold in Europe.......
