We enjoyed more than thirty-five feet of visibility yesterday, so we pushed our luck today. We motored slowly through the fog to Kevin's Reef near Honeymoon Cove. As soon as I jumped into the water, I told Merry it was green. It turned out to be very green all the way to the bottom. With barely eight feet of visibility and darkness, I wasn't expecting to find much. I was wrong. There were more sponges, fish, and nudibranchs here that any local reef we've dived this year. Merry found a juvenile moray eel while I scoured the reef for photo subjects. With less than ten minutes left in the dive, I found a Felimare californiensis, the first time I've seen one outside of Haggerty's or Catalina. It was about two inches long, so there may be more. If so, it's good to see their range extending.
