I'm considering an inflatable mini cat for diving in California (Norcal). I've seen vids where freedivers flop aboard like a seal bc of the open bow design. It should work fine for all diving. I have a 10' SIB with a 86lb thrust electric trolling motor for fishing but I haven't tried that in open water or for diving. I plan to talk to a few instructors regarding SIB diving before attempting it.

Any thoughts on the inflatable mini cat? It has a dropstitch floor which is nice but a solid floor is preferable for dive gear.

Not my 1st choice for a dive vessel

Looks very slow compared to a two place kayak. If you’re not trying to paddle it I suppose that doesn’t matter as much. Would you be soloing or have two guys in there?
