According to Undercurrents:

"Cancun Opening for Tourism. The Quintana
Roo Tourism Promotion Council has announced
that Cancun is reopening for travel. Its director,
Darío Flota Ocampo, has stated that Air Canada,
Air Transat, Delta Airlines, Copa Airlines, Air
Europa, Sunwing, Southwest and Aeroméxico have
already confirmed they will begin landing in early
June. He reiterated that the recovery strategy will
first focus on re-establishing direct air connectivity
as soon as possible at the international airports of
Cancun, Cozumel and Chetumal."

Yeah, but Cancun sucks.

Oh, you meant the airport. What about the rest of Maya Riviera?

All will be certified Covid free on June 1. And the black coral jewelry is guaranteed genuine!

HAHAH! You're getting your news from Undercurrent? haha - sorry, that made me laugh

OK, but Undercurrent is notorious for getting their facts incorrect. I take anything that they say with a truckload of salt.

*looking for a micdrop emoji*.....

i'd just like to say I appreciated you sharing this info with the group, irrespective of how others may have so cruelly ridiculed you. :)

From a parallel thread:
"The Tourism Promotion Council is not a government agency and does not control the situation. It is an advocacy and marketing organization."
Do any of you honestly think the QRoo tourism council just up and decided to make this announcement on their own without approval from the QRoo government? Or that they're the group that picked June 1st?

If you do, well bless your heart.
