Anyone currently on the island like to share how the economy is doing? What daily life is like? It must be somewhat surreal without tourists.

If you have FB, join "bonaire expats and visitors". Statements range from "everything is fine" to "plenty of food, for those that can still afford it.
 
As of 4/25/20... inbound travel restrictions through May 16, 2020. Who knows after that, this is all evolving. I'm fully booked for January 2021 and just hoping everything is back open by then.
 
I never knew there was a brothel there, luckily they are getting financial assistance - read from the bonaire reporter.
 
Pachi's Place. It's been there a long time. Right across the street from Mi Banana. Some of the workers (and the customers) hang out in Mi Banana when they are not actively engaged.
