Today is the day...

...that along with my wife, my mom, my sister and her husband, and a couple of close friends, I was supposed to be headed for Cozumel for two weeks of diving, fishing, and general laying about. We were going to celebrate my mom's 92nd birthday on this what would have been her never missed annual spring trip to the island since 1977.

Instead, I am... well, you know. Heavy sigh.

I feel your pain. My wife and I were supposed to have left yesterday for a two week vacation. We have another trip scheduled in July with our daughters and their families, I'm just hoping now that we can make that one happen! Keep your chin up, this too shall pass.

As I am writing this, if not for the Covid stuff, I would be finishing my 1st dive of the day in Coz....

Some of these stories from young, healthy people who had that bug are really scary, and not all of them survived. All of this is worth it to live for a better trip to come.

And happy birthday to your mom. It's wonderful that she's still with you.
