The Axiom is often referred to as good for travel. I am trying to decide between an Axiom and a Zuma. I like all the features of the Axiom. Bigger pockets, jacket style, etc. Is the travel benefit of the Zuma significant?

I am just starting out. Warm water recreational diving. I will use either with an integrated octopus/inflator.

I just bought an Axiom because I like that it is a hybrid between jacket and wing. It also has considerably more lift and weight capacity than the Zuma, which for me, diving in cold water, is needed. Yet light enough to travel and use in warm water. If you will only be diving warm, the Zuma, which is back inflate and lighter, may make more sense. Axiom weighs about 8.75lbs, the Zuma about 6Lbs.

Thanks for this. Do you find it flexible enough to pack easily? It is often described as a travel BCD but looks fairly large to me.

My Axiom packs good for travel. Folds nice.
