Maybe they're rapt in prayer? One of the excuses I hear is that there's not enough room for divers to be neutral. No excuse here.
That they won't die?Maybe they're rapt in prayer?
That's just another excuse. There is no need to kneel, ever. If you can't keep 8 neutral, then don't teach 8. Lot's of instructors teach on their knees because that's the way they learned to teach. That's up to them, dive and let dive. But space and or numbers are just cop outs.Only explanation is that there is the 1 instructor : 8 students (max) rule.
That they won't die?
Lots of people pray... not just Christians.Isn't that the hope of most christians?
Also, depending on ylur level of Korean and certification status, there is a large scuba pool in Duryu Park in Daegu. I think once you have achieved Advanced Open Water status, you can practice on your own there.
Just to confirm, Divemaster certification or higher is required to dive alone at the Duryu dive pool in Daegu. Anything less requires being with a certified instructor. Cost for diving there (without gear rental) is 24,000won per "session" Sessions are the morning or afternoon blocks of time. Morning sessions is from 9am-12:30pm. Afternoon session is from 1-5. Pool depth ranges from 3 to 5 meters.
This is a great pool as generally people stay in one small area and are not really swimming here and there.
