What is this? Found in Curacao about 30' deep. Vase like translucent creature about 12" in length.

The couple of descriptions I have found for Salps say they grow to about 4 inches. OP said it was about 12 inches. Even though that is an approximation and not a measurement, at 3X it sounds like the size suggests it might be something else. Or is there another opinion on the typical size of a Salp?

I have personally seen salps 10" to12" long.

Thetys vagina is the largest solitary salp in the world and can exceed a foot in length.
