Top picture, left two tanks. Are those the concave bottom euro steels or are those aluminum? Flat bottom (and apparent sidewall thickness on the middle tank) is saying aluminum but the failure looks like more what I expect from steel.

They don't look like hydro ruptures. When a tank cracks during hydro (which is actually quite rare) it doesn't really create a bulge like that as there's is nothing to "expand into" but water. All 4 of these look like dry ruptures.

No, they were unexpected ruptures; that much I do know.
As posted hydro failures look more like bulges because they are confined in a cylinder of water.
