For the OP ... late to the party but I always suggest that one looks on the used market for a Ti reg. For the cost of new you might be able to buy two. One for your current dive buddy and one for yourself or for the want-a-be buddy.

Good idea but to late. She had a titan lx and afters being serviced she had to return it three times, left her high and dry literal on a couple of diving trips. Since then I’ve taken up the hobby of working on my own regs. I wasn’t sure if she would like it because she doesn’t like changes to her kit but turns out she was thrilled with it. I have one so I know how great they are. Thanks for the tip. I do buy vintage regulators for fun.
