Being able to use an octopus, an inflator and a pressure gauge was a game changer for me. I am not into "vintage diving". I am into using whatever equipment is safe, suits my needs, and is fun. Plus maybe just a little Mike Nelson.
With a splitter on the hookah port mine is ready with an octo and BC inflator hose. With a banjo fitting I1ve got a period correct pressure gauge Top it off with a wrist computer and I`m good to go. Pool sessions then ocean dives in Bonaire in July. Just going to shore dive shallow at first, but would love to see the look on the faces of the divemasters if I took it on a boat dive. .

Depending on where you are staying, it might not surprise them. The staff at Buddy and Dive friends have seen a bunch of them in the last few years....although I did rattle a DM a number of years ago at Buddy, I was diving a Healthways Gold Label with no BC off the dock. That was fun ! :)

Yea, it`s gonna be fun! Going to Captain Don`s this time. Haven`t been there for 8 years or so.

Just completed trip #3 over two years to Curacao, and dove my DH each trip. The new DM with thedive operation was a little puzzled, and the others said, "oh yeah, he does things a little different". He had never seen one before - Damn kids..... Anyhow, they haven't said they have seen any others, and this trip, there were no questions or photo requests. Perhaps I have become common.... The Germans were really curious last year.

Someone did ask if I was on a rebreather when I first took it out at the shop... LOL.
