do we know if she had a plan to dive to 90m or was that the conclusion upon reading the DC -maybe she's was planning to dive shallower ( air dil and 2x40cf would indicate a shallower dive) and either got caught in a down current or maybe lost buoyancy ?

I only met her a few times but this is really sad and hits home for me. Bonaire solo CCR dives are, for me, the closest to heaven I’ll likely ever get. I do limit mine to <200’ but I only have a few hundred hours on various units, so I’m still learning.

sad loss for the CCR community and the diving world.

A lot of people have paid tribute to Dr Fiona Sharp today.

There are also some brief details of the dive. It is not known if Fiona planned to dive to 91.5 m / 30 ft or not. And I will not speculate on that.

But if I snuff it on the wall tomorrow I hope that my fellow ScubaBoarders will show enough interest in what finally got me to have a prompt and lively discussion!
Me too.

Let me add "hubris" as another word.
Agree,,,Seen alot of OC divers do a 'touchdown' dive to 200 just so they could take a picture of their computer and post it. They say it's the '200 Club', teeshirts too.

I certainly don't know her, have no interest in rebreathers. But this quote made me want to know here
