hello all, I am new to this forum, which I joined because I don’t get to talk about diving enough.
I have been diving for 19 years. Most of my diving has been Caribbean but we (husband buddy) have decided to concentrate on new ecosystems until age requires us to go back to easier diving. Ergo, we’re diving dry suits in cold locations and more local freshwater (e. g., murky) locations. Result: I feel like a newbie again, and sometimes have attacks of low confidence. I love it as much as ever, but things like the added weight (in the dry suit) the new buoyancy challenges, the cold, CURRENTS, spook me. I thought I’d come here to read about others’ experiences to regain the excitement factor. Please send ideas, encouragement, congratulations, etc!

Welcome aboard SB. While cold water diving can be challenging, there are also many great things to see and do! Enjoy!
