Egypt isn't dry. I've been to Dahab and Marsa Alam and there was no problems getting booze. In fact in our hotel in Marsa Alam I had to ask the barman to go easy on the gin in my g&t as he was being overly generous!
Ok, the beer in Egypt wasn't the best but its was cold & wet and contained alcohol...
