NEW: Diver nearly drowns at Phil Foster State Park, Riviera Beach Fire Rescue says
The diver was taken by Riviera Beach Fire Rescue to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, according to a Riviera Beach Fire Rescue spokesperson.

RIVIERA BEACH — A diver is good condition after a near-drowning Sunday morning at Phil Foster State Park, a spokesperson for Riviera Beach Fire-Rescue tweeted this morning.

The diver was taken by Riviera Beach Fire Rescue to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, according to Master-PIO DaWayne Watson.

The victim’s identification has not been released.

The 14.7-acre park, located at 900 Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach, is popular with divers, snorkelers, boaters and hikers.

In August 2017, a man from Port St. Lucie was found dead two hours after he was reported missing while diving in the same general area.

The facebook page has been saying something like 10-13 foot viz over the last few days.

We were out at the Castor on Saturday, visibility was bad, less than 10 feet.
I was on the Castor on Saturday morning. It was the best dive I've had on the wreck with easily 60ft of vis.
