Do they stamp the tanks at every hydro? If so, your tanks must look like a bad version of the Rosetta Stone!

True. But lucky for the OP, he’s in SA, so no DOT stamp reqd.

The valve will make for a nice collectors piece but I will have it replaced with something a bit more from today's day in age. It is the tank that really drew my attention
 
Thanks for all the feedback guys. The friend selling it took it in for an updated hydro and visual; passed with flying colours.

Most of my tanks are quite new, but many second hand tanks show annual stamps for 4-5 years then a space of several years while it sits in the garage... the owners having lost interest in diving.

Here's an example of a 15L Faber for sale locally.
Manufacture date 2008, you can see some impressive campaign ribbons already :D
