For fire and rescue the helix 12 is the answer
 
Great info from Dennis @ Team Watters Sonar (Humminbird distributor), IL. He strongly recommends HELIX 10 or 12 for search and recovery ops, with an external antenna. This lines up with what I'm hearing from Fire Rescue marine units in several states, operating small boats. Checking displays now. 9.6.19
