This is really alarming, I really like bringing my dog on the beach or in a place wherein there's water as summer is the perfect time for him to wear his dog goggles and enjoy the heat of the sun.
 
I heard about this on a news blurb the other day really scary!
 
Thanks for posting. So, it's thought to've impacted dogs in North Carolina, Georgia and Texas, all coastal states. Wonder to what extent it's an issue further inland?

We have 3 dogs and a cat. They generally don't hit lakes, but the mongrel was a stray my wife took pity on, and where we live he can roam the neighborhood a bit. Ditches, somebody's fish pond, that sort of thing, just wondering how risky it is in KY and similar places.
 
I've got 3 dogs that all hate water but thanks for posting it!
