Sounds like we’re making the right decision with the drysuits. Even though ccr is warmer than once, after 90 minutes I suspect we’d be chilly in a wetsuit

So I decided to get these and also take my 3mm full suit. It will be end of July first of August so the water should be in the 80 deg F range.

PS I have a little extra blubber of my own.
So, depending, you might be able to wear your new stuff or your 3 mm alone. Together you have a 5 mm. I would probably take a light hood or beanie to give you maximum flexibility.

Enjoy your trip

@WhitneyB . First i am warm blooded...lol. I started the week in Board shorts and a rash guard. By mid week I was a little cool so I wore the top only on the rest of my dives and was plenty comfortable 3mm would have been to much for me. A lot of my companions wore 1.5 mm all week and were good so YMMV.

Shorts & a rash guard unless I’m going >170’. 8 trips now and maybe a few bumps & Fire coral stings over the years but I’m not changing anything.

On my trips October through January i used nylon shorts and a nylon t-shirt and was fine in recreationl depths. I tried that in March and was cold on every dive. I could have used a 2-3 mm shorty.

I've been diving Bonaire for almost 20 years now.....depends on time of year and dive site....I typically go in April - May and September - October....April-May I wear a 3 mil and am cold after 50 minutes....could use my Hollis Semi Dry but the wife typically calls the dive at 45 minutes anyway so I stick with the 3 mil....September - October I wear tech shorts and rash guard unless we are going to Karpata or further North....I wear a 1 mil full at those sites...dove Taylor Made, Candy Land and Nukove in the tech shorts....big mistake...came home with a major war wound on my leg that took 3 months to heal....always wear at least a 1 mil full from Karpata north to TM,CL and Nukove now....
