What is the best possible routing for the FSR 1st Stage on a single tank config (primary donate)?

Should I consider an upside down first stage for more space for the head?

I added the 5th port and using the long hose, its routing goes straight down toward my right hip.
All the others hoses are straightforward.
You have only to choose if the backup should go over the shoulder or not.
I use also the right hp port with a trasmintter attached to a 15cm hose.
Never had any problem with the head - DIN, maybe you keep the tank too high ?
You can also consider to use 12L short that are a bit larger in diameter.

5th port upgrade is great on the FSR if you're using a long hose, cheap as chips and dead easy to install.
If you need more space for your head you probably have the tank strapped wrong, try strapping it a bit lower and see where that gets you.

I use it upside down without the 5th port on single tank (with DIR hose configuration), precisely for the reason you mentioned: more space for the head. Works well enough for me without the extra port.

On doubles the 5th port would make a lot of sense, but I have dedicated 2x DST for doubles.
