Things in LC don’t really change much. Vis and other factors are reliant on Mother Nature. What happens one week may have nothing to do with the week before or after. Not guarantees of it being as you hope, but unless there is a big front around, your chances are good.

I was there 2 weeks ago and the diving was very good. The reefs are healthy and there is an abundance of Caribbean sea life.
Can't say enough good things about Little Cayman Reef Resort and Reef Divers. Back scatter Photo is opening a shop onsite near future as well.

I'd love to go but t seems as if getting there is almost impossible in Aug/Sep from NJ. We're a group of 10 divers and it looks like I run into a brick wall when trying to make connections. No problem getting to GCM. Two (?) daily puddle-jumpers from GCM to Little Cayman. Any tips?

There are more than 2 trips per day GC to LC. There were about 6 choices daily on Cayman Airways when I booked.

That's a pretty big group and you'd probably need to book well in advance. You could ask @BDSC for advice because he regularly takes groups to the Clearly Cayman resorts.

Have you asked the travel specialists at Reef Fantaseas for assistance? They are the booking agents for the Clearly Cayman resorts and they know all the nuances of the Cayman Airways flights.

Have you looked into flying to Brac and connecting to Little Cayman? The Brac airport is larger and can accept jets and turboprops so it is usually easier to get to CB. Instead of flying to GCM consider flying directly to Brac. Cayman Airways runs a jet on Saturdays from Miami directly to Cayman Brac with a short hop over to Little Cayman on a Twin Otter.

Starting in November Cayman Airways will offer direct flights between Brac and Miami on Saturdays with twin Otters available to make the short flight to/from Little Cayman.

Does LCBR have availability for your group during those dates? They also manage the nearby Club at Little Cayman condos which include the diving and amenities available at the resort.

If you can't get to LC you might want to look into CBBR to see if they have availability, it's good diving and a nice resort, and it is easier to get there.

@tridacna There might only be a couple of direct flights between GMC and LCM daily, but there are usually additional flights between GCM and CYB with a connection to LCM on a Twin Otter - it's only about a 5 minute flight between the 2 sister islands.

We often let the Reef Fantaseas agents make the flight reservations for because they know the flights in and out. They charge a fee but it is worth it IMO.

Also, they are able to book all my flights on a single ticket - which I have never been able to do myself when traveling internationally on different airlines.

I learned the hard way that if you experience delays during one leg of your trip, it is really helpful to have everything on one ticket. The airlines will know what's going on with your travel, assist you, and make sure that your bags find you.

Thanks Kathy! Very useful info.
