Wanted to put this up here. Martin Robson is a friend of mine, and anyone who has been cave diving around Cathy's has likely met him in their travels.
Shortly after this incident occurred, Martin was at Cathy's and we were discussing this horrific dive over a bottle of scotch around the camp fire. Anyone interested in serious deep technical diving should consider helping to get this thing published. It's going to be a fantastic telling of the incident.

Between the Devil and the Deep

Martin's doing a talk for our dive club this evening and I'm really looking forward to hearing his first hand account. I'll report back on his book progress.

Wish it was an audiobook

Martin is actually living in Chicago for a time. I’ve met him at meetings for the Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago. Nice fellow. He also doesn’t turn his nose up at our local cold water diving. He’s even been out at our low viz quarry! :D

Went to a very interesting and inspiring talk by Martin this evening. Had a chat with him afterwards and he seemed chuffed that people on Scubaboard were excited about reading his book. Apparently it's coming out in actual book form but each buyer will be able to also download an e-version for free.
