Seaventure Dive Rates Excessive

Hi all,

Just did a comparison a few weeks back of diving rate packages between Kapalai and Sea Ventures and Borneo Divers and got a shock that Sea Ventures is now charging either the same rates or slighlty more than even Kapalai.

Very excessive in my humble opinion for a pretty run down facility.

Has it been upgraded over the past year or two that I am not aware of or are dive companies just taking advantage of the situation with the mass numbers of divers from mainland China to make a bigger profit?

Yes, their equipment is old and has not been replaced in many many years. Not sure if they are actually spending $ on newer quality boats and also upgrading their rooms at the rig. Have not been out to their rig in 4 years so..not surprised. But their new rates are crazy.
