Wife and I both use Cobras that have over 60 hours. I do carry spare batterys. The computers have been flawless but anything can poo out just when you need it the most. We have booked a trip to Belize and thinking about buying a used Cobra on EBay for a backup. I have seen very few computers give false readings or lock up but it does happen. Anyone had a problem like this with a Cobra?

Never had a single problem with mine... my battery has actually lasted longer than expected as well since I do so many test transfers with it. I don't have my cobra up for sale, but have been thinking of going to a vyper or vytec instead so if you're interested in mine possibly, email me. It's in near perfect condition so I won't be letting it go for nothing mind you. It also has the SK7 compass on it (perfect condition).
