I just don't log dives
overcast skies, south winds 10KTS, seas 1-2FT. #1 MOLASSES deep buoy M28, beautiful blue water, viz 70-100FT, minimal current. #2 current picked up, elected to go shallow, buoy M19, dusty blue 50FT, light/mdt current. reef/nurse sharks, turtles, eagle rays, active day beneath the seas. pics provided by timg,,,,,,,,

we only observe the longsnout butterfly fish on the deep reefs below 60FT( I cant remember if ive ever seen this species on a shallow reef), and uncommon/rare there as well. very secretive, skittish and usually in pairs,

thanks for sharing.....the turtle is my favorite..looks like the current was running in that pic.
 
...and the Longsnout Butterflyfish, Scrawled Cowfish, and the Rock Beauty pair are spectacular :) I rarely see this Buttterflyfish, others are all quite common in SE FL
